This has been an unimaginably difficult holiday season for our family following the senseless loss of our son Nicky.
I typically fall firmly within the LI ≠ FB camp. Accordingly, I apologize upfront for the Facebook-esq flavor of this post.
However, my son has transformed me in ways more relevant than the companies I’ve built or run or anything else on my bio.
Furthermore, the nature of Nicky’s death has given rise to new advocacy causes for me under my ESG mantle (but this won’t be the subject matter of this article).
Nevertheless, it is completely understandable and forgivable if my professional contacts stop reading here! (And, it would take an active step to click any offending FB link.)
With the above caveats, disclosures and warnings in mind:
A small group of some of Nicky’s numerous friends joined us for a part of the holidays in our house in Breckenridge.
I chronicled some the painful holidays in a series of Facebook posts. If you are interested in viewing, you can read some of the posts via the links below.
Best to all with love from the Cumberlands!
